Last night was the 2008 Juno Awards and they were in my hometown of Calgary! I love that our city got some recognition and that so many big names were here. The night was a great success and was actually a pretty decent show to watch.
My favourite artist that was there would have to be Feist. She began her career in Calgary and won all 5 of the awards she was nominated for. She won:
- Single of the Year
- Album of the Year
- Pop Album of the Year for The Reminder
- Artist of the Year and
- Songwriter of the Year
Other artists that were there were Michael Buble, Hedley, Avril Lavigne, Jann Arden, Paul Brandt and Jully Black, who did an amazing job at closing the show with her song Seven Day Fool.
